The things people ask before they ring
Do you take on groundworks on its own?
Yes. Groundworks is a standalone service with us: site clearance, excavation, foundations, drainage and concrete bases. You don't need to give us a whole build to get the ground work done.
Are you insured?
Fully insured. We hold £5 million public liability cover and £10 million employers' liability cover, plus £5 million products liability and Contractors' All Risks cover for contract works up to £500,000.
How do you price work?
Whichever suits the job. We work on a fixed price, or on a cost-plus basis, and we can quote labour-only if you're sourcing your own materials.
Do you need a deposit up front?
Normally no deposit is required. We work on stage payments through the job, and we accept any payment method: bank transfer, card or otherwise.

Do you handle planning and building control?
Yes. On notifiable jobs such as extensions and new builds we handle building control sign-off and planning applications on your behalf, and we work directly with architects and designers.
What qualifications do you hold?
Calum holds CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) for plant machinery operation and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) for site management safety.

All of Cornwall and Devon as far as Exeter. Liskeard, Bodmin, Launceston, Saltash, Looe, Callington, Torpoint, St Austell, Fowey, Tavistock, Menheniot, Dobwalls and St Ive are all regular working areas.

We bring in vetted, trusted subcontractors for electrics, plumbing and gas, all working directly under Calum's project management. You still have one point of contact.
